Job summary
As a Loan Origination Specialist III in Lending Services, you coordinate post-approval activities that support accurate, timely loan booking and closings. You’ll review documentation, align stakeholders, and keep a pipeline progressing through clear communication and disciplined follow-through. You’ll help reduce operational risk by confirming requirements are met and escalating issues appropriately.
Job responsibilities
Coordinate the flow of post-approval tasks from mandate through booking to support timely closings Manage and maintain an individual pipeline of active commercial loans, tracking progress and key deadlines Collect, review, and validate loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to applicable requirements Partner with internal teams and external parties to resolve routine documentation and process issues Review legal loan documentation for operational feasibility, execution mechanics, and regulatory considerations Confirm funding mechanics and operational requirements aligned to products, processes, and policies Communicate status updates, risks, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders and escalate when needed Maintain organized records and checklists to support auditability and consistent execution Identify opportunities to streamline handoffs and reduce friction in post-approval workflows Required qualifications, capabilities and skills Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting commercial loan products and documentation Demonstrated knowledge of loan origination and post-approval processes, including documentation review practices Ability to apply critical thinking to identify discrepancies, missing information, and process gaps Proven ability to manage conflicts and resolve routine issues while maintaining service quality Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across internal teams and external partners Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience Knowledge of lending policies, documentation standards, and compliance requirements within a regulated environment Experience supporting transaction closings with multiple stakeholders and interdependent deliverables Experience using continuous improvement approaches to simplify workflows and reduce rework Comfort leveraging tools and automation to track tasks, manage pipelines, and improve execution efficiency Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under short timelines while maintaining attention to detail
