Job Summary
**_About This Role_**
In this role, the Senior Electro\-Mechanical Technician works independently within engineering, prototype, and production environments to build and troubleshoot complex electro\-mechanical assemblies and cable/wire harnesses\. This role requires mastery of IPC workmanship standards, hands\-on fabrication capability, and the ability to interpret complex technical data packages\.
Responsibilities
* Perform independent builds of complex electro‑mechanical assemblies, cable harnesses, and sub‑systems using engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, and work instructions\.
* Fabricate, shield, splice, terminate, and install connectors into complex cable harnesses\.
* Perform crimping operations using various crimp tools, tool selectors, and military/commercial‑grade termination tooling\.
* Perform soldering operations in accordance with **IPC J‑STD‑001** , including SMT device soldering; ability to obtain Space Addendum as required\.
* Build wire harnesses compliant with **IPC/WHMA‑A‑620** , including obtaining Space Addendum certification as needed\.
* Build electronic assemblies compliant with **IPC\-A\-610** , including obtaining space addendum certification as needed\.
* Conduct electrical testing including continuity, insulation resistance, and hipot testing using DMMs and other electrical test equipment\.
* Adhere to ESD, FOD, calibration, shelf‑life, and safety procedures at all times\.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to resolve complex problems for efficiency gains and improved quality\.
* Mentor junior technicians and contribute to new product introductions\.
* Operate semi‑complex electro‑mechanical assembly equipment and verify build quality through self‑inspection
* Recommend changes to designs, procedures, processes and drawings to improve manufacturability and/or quality of the product\.
* Assist in the transition of new products to manufacturing\.
Qualifications
* Advanced ability to read and interpret complex electro‑mechanical drawings, cable drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and process documentation\.
* Strong applied knowledge of **IPC/WHMA‑A‑620** ,with **IPC\-A\-610** and **IPC J‑STD‑001** workmanship standards; ability to obtain or
