A Day in the Life The Sr IT Architect will play a key role in supporting Medtronic's digital transformation initiatives by designing, governing, and implementing enterprise technology solutions across manufacturing and operations environments. This role partners with global teams to drive architecture excellence, cloud adoption, industrial connectivity, and data integration while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance practices. This is a remote position. Candidates based in Bogotá or surrounding areas are preferred, but qualified candidates across Colombia will also be considered Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Design and govern enterprise and solution architecture aligned with business and technology strategies Support manufacturing digitalization initiatives leveraging MES/MIS platforms, Industry 4.0 technologies, and industrial connectivity solutions Develop architecture proposals, technical designs, and integration strategies for new technology solutions Collaborate with engineering, operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions Support cloud and hybrid architecture environments, primarily leveraging AWS technologies Present and defend architecture recommendations through governance and architecture review processes Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor's degree and relevant architecture experience supporting enterprise technology environments Experience with Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture frameworks Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/MIS) and manufacturing technology environments Knowledge of ERP platforms, preferably SAP Experience with Industrial IoT, Industry 4.0, and technology integration initiatives Experience with data integration, cloud technologies, and hybrid architecture environments Knowledge of AWS cloud services Exposure to Kubernetes and OpenShift environments Understanding of network security and cybersecurity principles Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills English proficiency at C1-C2 Experience working with global teams in regulated environments and supporting enterprise-scale technology solutions is desirable   Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  ‌ Recruitment Fraud Alert   We are aware of phishing scams targeting job seekers.
