UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Senior Director of Technology Product Management to lead the strategy, modernization, and transformation of a portfolio of health insurance and underwriting platforms. This leader will build and mature a formal product management organization, drive platform consolidation and modernization, and establish AI-enabled product development practices across the portfolio. The Senior Director will lead and grow an existing team while building the product management capabilities, operating model, and talent needed to support an expanding portfolio of business-critical platforms. Success requires balancing strategic vision with execution and partnering closely with engineering, architecture, data, operations, and business leaders to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strategic product leadership, enterprise transformation experience, organizational change capability, and expertise in AI-enabled product development. They can build and scale product organizations, influence executive stakeholders, navigate complex matrixed environments, and deliver measurable business outcomes through modern product management practices. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Define and execute the product strategy, vision, and multiyear roadmap for a portfolio of health insurance and underwriting platforms Build and mature a formal product management organization, including its operating model, organizational structure, role clarity, talent development, and capability expansion Lead end-to-end platform strategy and modernization across insurance capabilities and workflows, including underwriting, enrollment, billing, servicing, and related operational processes Drive platform rationalization, consolidation, and modernization initiatives focused on simplification, scalability, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes. Establish product management standards, operating rhythms, governance practices, and outcome-based performance measures Lead product portfolio planning, investment prioritization, and resource decisions based on organizational goals, customer needs, market insights, and measurable business value Partner with engineering, architecture, data, operations, and business leaders to deliver integrated products and platform capabilities at scale Establish and advance AI-enabled product development practices, including responsible AI adoption to improve workflows, decision-making, operational efficiency, and customer experiences Build and develop product leaders and teams through modern product management practices, organizational change, and outcome-based decision-making Apply customer, market, operational, and regulatory insights to product strategy, problem definition, roadmap development, and investment decisions Lead organizational change supporting new product operating models, modernization efforts, and cross-functional ways of working Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centered decision-making You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it
