Job Description
AECOM is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated Project Coordinator to join our Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) team in Pickering, Ontario . In this new position, you will support our project management teams in the coordination, planning, and delivery of a variety of multidisciplinary projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a career in project management and gain hands-on experience working with experienced professionals across multiple disciplines. AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing, fully integrated team spanning architecture, all building engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics, and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include, but are not limited to, Transit and Municipal, Commercial, Institutional, Justice, Education, and Government projects. As a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with Project Managers, technical discipline leads, clients, and other project stakeholders, gaining practical experience across all stages of project delivery, including project planning, coordination, documentation, financial tracking, scheduling, risk management, and reporting. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to establish and develop a career in project management within a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting environment, while working alongside experienced Project Managers and technical professionals, participating in a variety of real-world multidisciplinary projects, developing an understanding of project management best practices and AECOM's project delivery processes, and progressively taking on greater responsibility and independence as your experience develops. This position is for a newly created position expected to start in January or May 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day project activities and support Project Managers in the planning and delivery of projects. Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, action items, milestones, and deliverables. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action item logs, status reports, and project correspondence. Track project progress, deliverables, budgets, invoices, and other project financial information. Coordinate with internal technical teams and external stakeholders to obtain information and follow up on outstanding actions. Monitor project activities and proactively identify potential risks, issues, delays, and coordination requirements, escalating them to the Project Manager as appropriate. Organize and coordinate
