Airworthiness & Certification engineer (Military Derivatives)

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Airworthiness and Certification Engineer (f/m) to join our based in Getafe, Spain. As part of an exciting and challenging  new upcoming military Program inside the Military Derivatives department of Air Power, we are building a brand-new team . If you want to be part of the launch of a stimulating, ambitious and thrilling new Program , that will help reinforce the European sovereignty  we invite you to join  us!    Your Challenges: As a member of our team, you will develop and perform the following challenging tasks and concurrence activities: Definition of Aircraft certification basis and strategy in alignment with the aircraft design and operations Negotiation and agreement of the certification and airworthiness approach with Airworthiness Authorities (including European authorities and National authorities)   Coordination with internal (design office, program, chief engineering) and external (suppliers) stakeholders to define the best strategy for the product considering the global benefit of Airbus family Aircraft. Coordination and management of the Certification activities to ensure the deliverables (certification plans, means of compliance demonstrations..) are granted in quality, on time  and in compliance with applicable airworthiness regulation according to the program milestones. Active participation with Airbus Commercial team ensuring collaboration and enrichment across divisions. Supporting the complete product lifecycle of an aircraft in an E2E Design and Certification Process  Capability to manage the complexity of integrating the military systems and equipments in a civil derivative aircraft and putting an acceptable an adapted certification frame for the final military product Strong working ties to Engineering Design offices (e.g., stress, analysis, loads,, systems, armament, material & processes, aerodynamic, configuration design, flight physics) where interfaces Design will continuously broaden your knowledge. Support various stakeholders with certification and airworthiness knowledge (e.g. DOA, quality, Chief Engineer, Architecture and Integration). In-service experience to define manuals , operational suitability data  and instructions for continued airworthiness in compliance with applicable airworthiness regulation and according to A/C use and customer needs Define applicable certification requirements for ICAs (AMM, Trouble Shooting Manual, IPC, etc..), including ALS and demonstrate its compliance. Support the timely achievement approval of ICAs, through identification of technical issues and associated risk management plan, identification of regulation and interpretation issues. All of this in coordination with design office, including relevant CVEs, Chief Engineer and Services Organisation Your Profile: Abilities, skills and competencies: As a successful candidate, you should be able to demonstrate the following abilities, skills and competences with proved experience: At least 3 years of Experience in Engineering High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a collaborative mode Ability to manage and coordinate internal people and external subcontracting companies. Good level of understanding of the aircraft technical domains (structural design, flight physics, systems…) Technical background on aerospace disciplines such as systems, structures, flight physics, flight control  Familiar with airworthiness regulation Studies: Engineering industrial or aerospace (or similar degrees studies) Languages :  Good English level  - Spanish and French languages would be plus Good communication skills, collaboration, proactivity and team play working spirit Proactive and able to propose new ideas Collaborative, open minded Negotiation and influence skills This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
