Learn more at li.me . We are looking for an Backend Software Engineer to join our team and help us revolutionize the way people move around our cities. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to design and build the core technology that powers our fleet of connected vehicles. With our rapid global expansion, you’ll play a vital role in crafting backend systems that are core to the Lime offering including location and asset data analysis, and experimentation. You will also have the chance to contribute to our internal messaging platform. And the best part? This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in Canada to maintain effective collaboration across teams. What You’ll Do: Solve strategically essential technical problems, including building highly scalable foundational platforms, and revamping existing core application experiences. Scrutinize and reason clearly about the technology and architecture we make. Building scalable, efficient, and stable software to power our electric vehicles and related features. Participate in cross-functional collaboration with PMs, Engineers, Design, Data Scientists, Research, and Operations teams. Contribute to shaping the overall engineering culture at the company. Participate in the team's on-call rotation, responding to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to root cause analysis and service reliability improvements. Respond to and troubleshoot production issues, outages, and critical alerts during assigned on-call shifts. Escalate incidents as needed and collaborate with team members to restore service. Document issues and contribute to improvements that reduce recurring incidents. Be available to provide occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday support while on call.

1+ years of industry professional software development experience and a track record of building impactful products or systems. Skilled at writing logical and maintainable code, and providing clear feedback in code reviews. Customer obsessed. You put the customer first. Data driven.
