About this role
Amazon's transportation operations depend on well-trained associates to deliver for customers, and that starts with strong learning programs on the ground. As a Learning Specialist, you will own training operations at a site supporting up to 1,000 associates during peak periods, partnering closely with EU Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Operations and other cross-functional teams to ensure our frontline workforce is equipped to meet business goals. With our learning organization transitioning to an end-to-end model, this is an exciting time to join the team that is reshaping how we develop and deliver training. You will directly shape the associate experience at your site, and we are looking for someone who is ready to step in and make an immediate impact. Key job responsibilities - Manage site Learning and Development operations, including training quality, metrics reporting, stakeholder communication, and resource planning for a workforce of up to 1,000 associates. - Collaborate with EU ATS Operations and site leadership to develop and execute training plans that align with business needs and workforce requirements. - Lead and support trainers and instructors by facilitating meetings, providing coaching and feedback, and delivering Train the Trainer sessions. - Serve as the primary liaison between Learning and Development and cross-functional teams including Operations, Safety, and Workforce Planning. - Maintain training documentation, manage learning management systems (LMS), and ensure compliance with safety and operational training requirements. A day in the life You will start by reviewing training metrics and checking in with your team of trainers to align on priorities for the day. From there, you might observe a session being delivered to frontline associates to provide coaching, join a cross-functional meeting with operations and safety leaders to discuss upcoming needs, or update training schedules and documentation in the LMS. Throughout the day, you will balance responding to immediate site needs with progressing longer-term improvements to training programs.
