The Head of Global Facilities is responsible for developing and executing the company's global facilities strategy across a network of offices and operational locations worldwide. The role leads a distributed team of Facilities and office services professionals who manage day-to-day site operations while providing enterprise-wide direction, governance, standards, and oversight. This leader balances strategic planning with hands-on execution, ensuring facilities support business objectives, employee experience, operational efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness. The role also serves as the project leader for major capital investments/projects, workplace initiatives, office moves, renovations, expansions, and facility optimization programs. Key Responsibilities Global Facilities Strategy & Governance
Develop and implement a global facilities strategy aligned with business priorities and growth plans. Establish global standards, policies, service levels and operating procedures across all facilities. Drive a consistent workplace experience across all office locations. Create a scalable facilities operating model that balances global consistency with local needs. Partner with business leaders to anticipate future workplace, operational, and site requirements. Develop long-term plans for facility investments, lease renewals, consolidations, and site expansions.
Facilities Operations Leadership
Lead and develop the global facilities organization, including direct management of regional and site-based Facilities team members. Provide oversight and support to local Facilities staff responsible for daily operations. Establish performance expectations, service standards, and accountability measures. Drive continuous improvement of facilities processes and service delivery. Ensure facility operations support employee productivity, safety, and business continuity.
Project Management & Execution
Lead major facilities projects globally, including
Office relocations Site expansions Renovations and fit-outs Workplace modernization initiatives Infrastructure upgrades Facility consolidations Subleases
Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication plans. Manage cross-functional project teams and external vendors. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to business requirements.
Financial & Vendor Management
Manage relationships with regional facility service providers and external partners, ensuring accountability, service quality, and cost effectiveness. Develop and manage global facilities operating and capital budgets. Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities while maintaining service quality. Negotiate and oversee contracts with landlords, service providers, and facilities vendors. Monitor vendor performance and establish service level expectations. Lead procurement activities related to facilities services, equipment, and workplace investments.
