Job Title Financial Controller Job Description Summary The role will be responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment, and managing key accounting and treasury activities while working closely with local management and Regional Finance teams.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting processes. • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and key account analysis. • Manage key accounting activities including revenue recognition, accruals, AP/AR and journal entries. • Coordinate statutory and internal audits and liaise with external auditors. • Support key tax compliance matters including Corporate Income Tax and VAT, working with external tax advisors as required. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, Delegation of Authority (DOA) and corporate Finance policies. • Manage day-to-day banking and treasury activities, including bank accounts, cash management and payment controls. • Monitor cash flow and liquidity and coordinate funding requirements with Regional / Global Treasury. • Support loan and intercompany funding activities, including drawdowns, repayments, interest payments and related documentation. • Maintain relationships with banks and support banking facilities and related requirements. • Support Finance process improvement, standardization and automation initiatives. • Work closely with FP&A and business teams on financial analysis and management reporting. • Liaise with APAC / Regional / Global Finance teams on reporting and other Finance requirements. • Provide guidance and support to Finance team members as required. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline. • 8+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Financial Controllership and/or Audit. • Solid hands-on experience in monthly and annual closing and financial reporting. • Good understanding of K-IFRS and/or US GAAP. • Experience with internal controls and audit processes. • Experience or good understanding of banking, cash management and treasury activities. • Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP / financial reporting systems. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively with different functions and senior stakeholders. • Business-level English proficiency for communication with Regional and Global Finance teams. Preferred Qualifications • AICPA or equivalent accounting qualification is preferred but not required. • Big 4 and/or multinational company Finance experience. • Experience working in a global matrix organization. • Exposure to US GAAP, SOX and internal control frameworks. • Experience with global Finance systems such as Workday, Hyperion or OneStream. • Experience in Commercial Real Estate or Professional Services is an advantage.
