We understand and show the value of why they should always choose us. We’re exploring new ideas and opportunities –  innovating  to discover the breakthroughs necessary for tomorrow’s growth.       Through it all, we are  one team  – creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.    As a Receiver at Caterpillar Inc., you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities.  Ensure daily shipments are prepared and loaded correctly to include weight distribution and paperwork accuracy. In addition to counting parts and coordinating order fulfilment, you will also manage traceability of parts through the value streams and target aged inventory. Location: Griffin, GA Available Shift: 1st shift Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Consolidating count sheets from multiple facilities Potential counting in multiple facilities Manage order fulfilment, processing, storing/picking of parts, equipment and supplies Manage and oversee shipping and receiving of material Multiple systems interactions Coordinate expedited parts to support the customer Manage zones through targeting aged inventory, leading reconciliation and investigating root cause Supporting and leading inventory problem-solving events to drive continuous improvement Coordinate or execute random and scheduled inventory and receipt audits as directed Accountable for tracking quality metrics and meeting quality goals Coordinate investigations on customer reported defects, including internal logistics customers Occasionally utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes Occasionally perform material handling and warehousing functions as required Essential Job Functions: Occasionally lift parts up to 25 pounds individually or 50 pound as team lift Frequent bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasks Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures Standing and/or sitting at a desk while performing tasks Basic and/or Desired Qualifications may include, but are not limited to: 6 plus months warehouse inventory or parts distribution experience Competent with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Good attendance record Ability to maintain accurate and complete records Ability to work OT when required Good written and verbal communication skills Resume required for consideration Compensation and Benefits: This position starts at $21.38/hour Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half (some may be mandatory) Medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits starting day 1 6% company match for 401k Annual increases, based on your performance evaluation Time Off (Vacation & PTO) and Paid Holidays Employee Assistance Programs providing financial advice, personal and group therapy, etc. College tuition assistance program available after 1 year employment Caterpillar is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
