On the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Program, Supply Chain is a key driver in providing buy component responsible for approximately 50% of the program hardware development subcontracts totaling two billion dollars of supplier value. The subcontractors we manage are vital in supporting design, build and deployment of the next step forward in national security detecting, tracking and destroying incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles in space before they reach American soil.    This Subcontract Program Management (SPM) Principle position on NGI will be responsible for proposal development and supplier capacity assessments / sourcing strategies.   As part of the NGI Subcontract team this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities: Responsible for being the subcontract point of contact for all bid and proposal activity in support of Prime contract modifications. This role will be embedded in the program proposal team, and ensure that all subcontractor inputs are included in the prime proposal. Responsible for decomposing Prime RFP requirements and determining the impacted documents that describe the changes in the supplier contract. Generate supplier RFP templates in support of Prime RFPs. Serve as the subject matter expert for the Subcontract Management Teams as they use the templates and create dedicated RFPs to each supplier. Conduct supplier capacity assessments to determine if suppliers have the capacity to support the forecasted growth on NGI. Develop supplier profiles and make recommendations to the NGI leadership team if alternative sourcing strategies are need to meet future production rates. Support NGI Subcontract Team Leadership as directed. Responsible for providing status reporting as required and supporting NGI Supply Chain business rhythm Some (up to 30%) travel to the customer and subcontractor locations is required. Basic Qualifications 
 To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accrediated college, or equivalent experience / combined education 10+ years overall experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a combination of subcontract and / or program management 2+ years of overall experience in working with large (>$50M) subcontracts 5+ years of overall experience as a program manager in the capture and development phase Technical knowledge of space and missile products You will need to be a US citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as sucessfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eiligbility requirements for access.  To be effective, ideally, you should also have: 3+ years of current experience on large cost-plus government programs Technical or Engineering background Experience with managing all contract types: Cost Plus, Incentive Fee, firm Fixed Price Experience in the evaluation of supplier capacity; review of infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities to meet a target production rate Experience in all phases of program capture Prior experience working on a proposal team, and generating proposal products: program management / technical / cost volumes, basis of
