Job Title- AI Automation Engineer, AVP Location- Pune, India Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated AI/Automation Engineer (AVP) to design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions that significantly reduce manual effort across our Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (HCI) Compute estate. The primary focus of this role is to automate repeatable tasks and improve the reliability and scalability of our Linux/Unix server Compute platforms. You will work closely with Unix Engineering and Operations teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver AI-enabled solutions that enhance day-to-day operational performance and reduce dependency on manual processes. System diagnostics, root cause analysis, and proactive issue identification. Automation of operational runbooks and support tooling. Agentic AI solutions primarily for generating approval requests, drafting change tickets, or providing recommendations for human review. Contribute to the design and development of scalable and reusable automation components and frameworks, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and risk standards. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to embed AI capabilities and automation into daily workflows and operational processes. Evaluate emerging AI capabilities (e.g., GenAI, AI agents) for their potential to enhance operational efficiency, focusing on how they can support human decision-making and approval processes. Work within established architecture and strategy to solve defined problem areas (e.g., specific operational tasks, tooling improvements) Your skills and experience 5+ years of experience in software engineering with demonstratable experience with AI engineering Strong programming skills in Python and Bash, SQL desirable. Proven ability to deliver end-to-end technical solutions Hands-on experience with: Containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and tools, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub). AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow). Cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana) Solid background in Software Engineering and Computer Science fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building AI-driven automation or AIOps solutions in infrastructure environments Familiarity with the AI/ML lifecycle (training, inference, deployment) and foundational concepts of GenAI / LLM-based solutions (e.g., copilots, automation agents, focusing on recommendation and drafting capabilities). Exposure to enterprise-scale Linux/Unix environments Relevant certifications in Cloud or AI/ML Success Measures Delivery of AI/Automation use cases that demonstrably reduce manual effort in system administration. Increased automation coverage across server support
