Our Swindon facility houses our Zydis® fast dissolving tablet development and manufacturing operation as well as a CMC pharmaceutical analytical lab services unit that offers ASAP stability.
Position
Summary We have an opportunity for a Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work on maintaining and repairing refrigeration systems to ensure smooth operations. You will play a key part in compliance, safety, and quality standards while supporting process improvements. This is a hands-on position where your technical expertise will make a real impact on our facility’s performance. Shift: 4 on 4 off Days only Location: Swindon, UK 100% Onsite The Role Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance on utility refrigeration equipment. Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on facility refrigeration systems. Record equipment history in the engineering computer system and complete quality documentation as required. Provide detailed handovers to engineering colleagues. Ensure compliance with procedures, Health and Safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practice at all times. Assist in managing contractors regarding health and safety policies and site procedures. Implement process improvements independently or as part of a team to enhance equipment reliability. Stay updated on current regulatory requirements within your area of expertise. Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in all interactions and work in line with Catalent values. Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager. The Candidate Minimum Requirements Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Servicing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems or equivalent. F-GAS 2079 CAT 1 certification. Proven background in the refrigeration service industry or facilities maintenance. IT literate with good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Preferred Skills & Background Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Servicing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems or equivalent. Qualifications in either electrical or mechanical engineering. Experience with utilities such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, water systems, compressors, BMS, and refrigeration equipment. Previous pharmaceutical engineering experience. Experience with freeze dryers.
