Position Summary: The CAD Designer works with engineers to provide design of components (3D & 2D) and assemblies to support operations and customer requirements for new and existing products. Creates, maintains and supports though accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), ERP Item master and product documentation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Apply CAD techniques to review engineering drawing, components, and assemblies Work as part of a dynamic team for engineering projects related to global and regional manufacturing programs. Design special / custom products using SolidWorks to meet design specifications. Provide accurate models, assemblies, and drawings for new product development and existing products. Creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials. Responsible for transfer of product into ERP system. Complete necessary ERP item creation maintenance. Maintain SolidWorks PDM file system. Release Engineering Change Notices and process Engineering Change Requests. Perform administrative duties for the ECN process. Check drawings and layouts for accuracy, proper use of GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis. Participate in multifunctional teams, to interact with Sales, Quality and Manufacturing. Participate in DFM, DFA, DFS and design reviews when required Provides assistance & training to lower level employees.
Qualifications / Requirements
Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required. 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
