Learn more about Leggett & Platt Flooring Products: Flooring As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in completing projects that will improve current processes in the manufacturing of carpet cushion. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with some required Saturday’s. So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Mechanic?
Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directions Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then build to those specifications Use various machines and hand tools and power tools to accomplish assigned tasks Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs when needed Periodically check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor Performs other related duties as assigned
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have the following:
Have at least 2 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing Ability to work independently or as a team to complete tasks Ability to maintain a safe work environment Ability to use various hand tools Available to work on some Saturday’s
