Xcel Energy is seeking candidates to support the Electric Distribution Area Engineering Organization in Minneapolis, MN, or Fargo ND.  The paid internship provides support to the Area Engineering Team which is responsible for the reliability of the electric distribution system.  Interns will assist in root cause analysis and determining solutions to power outages, support technical reports, and gain knowledge of the distribution system.  This internship provides an opportunity to solve real world problems and see solutions come to life that will have a positive impact on the community. Typical intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Assist in outage investigations Contribute to technical reports Learn how electricity is delivered Assist with protection and coordination studies This position is for a May 31, 2027 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship’s initial term based on the candidate’s successful performance and Xcel Energy’s business needs.
