Overview

Bag-in-Box® is a sustainable choice of packaging for many industries such as wine, juice, liquid eggs , dairy and also non-food applications such as motor oil and chemicals . Our Vitop® Original tap is the most commonly used for Bag-in-Box® wines and juices in the world for its exceptional and consistent quality - with a leak rate of less than 1 in 85 million since its launch. The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the Mississauga manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Regional General Manager, this role has full accountability for the site's P&L while fostering a culture where people, safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement drive sustainable business performance. The role leads the Finance, Human Resources, Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain functions, ensuring the site delivers its financial and operational objectives. While commercial activities are led by the Regional General Manager and Sales organization, the Plant Manager partners closely with Sales to ensure outstanding customer service, production planning and profitable growth. The role is responsible for developing and executing the plant strategy, managing costs and capital investments, driving continuous improvement and creating a high-performing culture while ensuring compliance with all Group policies, regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards while promoting a culture of operational excellence. Lead and oversee all daily plant operations, ensuring high standards in safety, quality, service, and productivity. Drive a proactive operational culture focused on accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and customer excellence. Ensure achievement of production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives through strong follow-up and execution. Lead, coach, and develop plant teams to build a high-performing and engaged organization. Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Ensure rapid resolution of operational and quality issues while driving preventive and corrective actions. Monitor plant KPIs closely and take proactive actions to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction. Oversee maintenance and reliability activities to ensure operational continuity and equipment performance. Support the successful implementation and industrialization of new products and processes. What you need to succeed: Is proactive, action-oriented, and capable of making decisions quickly in a dynamic environment. Demonstrate financial and operational acumen, with the ability to manage a P&L, control costs, optimize resources and deliver sustainable business performance. Possesses strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Has proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally in packaging, plastics, food, or other fast-paced industrial operations. Thinks strategically while remaining hands-on, balancing long-term business objectives with day-to-day operational excellence. Has experience leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Certifications in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma are considered a strong advantage. Brings a hands-on leadership style and can motivate teams while building a strong performance culture.
