What you'll do
As an Application Engineering Leader for Digital Technology Services (DTS) you will be responsible for transforming Docusign’s Business technology landscape through next generation software and AI solutions at scale. This leader will be fully accountable for the defining technical vision, strategy, and talents as Docusign accelerates its global expansion and growth through Intelligent Agreement Management. The position is a people manager role reporting to the Vice President of Application Engineering.

Lead and own portfolio of future-state, scaled, secure technology solutions, ensuring alignment with Docusign’s global standards and business objectives Lead strategy, architecture, design and development of modern Commerce, CPQ platforms Define, design and deliver towards always-on, high-performance platforms and services that power our core business applications with deep expertise in cloud native, modern web and backend technologies Lead technology innovation with data & insights driven transformation of our process workflows and persona experiences Drive the infusion of technology solutions with agentic experiences powered by AI/ML, practicing AI First mindset in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Define and champion the evolutionary roadmap for a unified, scalable integration architecture that breaks down system silos, unlocks time-to-value Accelerate the organization's ability to execute future digital transformation initiatives at speed and enterprise scale Own Engineering Excellence by architecting a sustainable framework of technical best practices and standards to achieve technical rigor, reliability, accelerated delivery quality across the portfolio Nurture experimental AI prototypes and quickly scale to a production-hardened, agentic enterprise ecosystem Lead and develop the team to translate business requirements into a scalable Agentic development roadmap Shape and define the global architecture and security standards for autonomous multi-agent frameworks (CrewAI, LangGraph) to ensure secure, deterministic execution in enterprise environments Lead and upskill the broader Application Engineering organization, transforming a traditional development workforce into an AI-fluent engineering team Influence senior leaders, stakeholders, and motivate large diverse teams with effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Conduct technology research and development, proof-of-concept, experimentation of emerging technology trends, security standards for DTS to adopt and deliver Business outcomes Manage and optimize spend, resources, and total cost to serve across engineering platforms Lead engagements with platform vendors to influence their roadmap, SLA and performance adherence, obligations Lead high-performing engineering teams capable of end-to-end AI Agentic fullstack product design to delivery and support working closely with Application Product Management, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Release, Quality, Security, and DevOps Hire and develop high-caliber talents, skillsets to strengthen team technology expertise, innovation Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work.
