The Tactical Situational Awareness (TSA) group in the Tactical, Communications, and Maintenance Applications (TCMA) department is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team focused on innovation and the development of cutting-edge products. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in software design, development, and integration to advance next-generation avionics systems that enhance pilot awareness and operational safety. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions that enable precise decision-making in complex environments. This position is onsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Design, develop, test, and integrate software solutions for Tactical Situational Awareness systems in avionics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to define software requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Focus on innovation by contributing to new product development efforts, exploring emerging technologies, and creating prototypes for future avionics systems. Develop algorithms and models for real-time data fusion, visualization, and decision-support systems. Ensure software meets safety-critical requirements and complies with industry standards such as DO-178C. Conduct performance analysis and optimization to meet system-level goals for reliability, latency, and efficiency. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines. Stay current with advancements in avionics, artificial intelligence, and related technologies to drive innovation.
