As Director, Training & Education (T&E), you will lead the development and execution of our Surgical Training & Education strategy across the region, ensuring healthcare professionals, customers, and internal teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to advance patient care and business performance. This is a critical leadership role responsible for leading a large and diverse team, shaping organisational capability, and driving business impact through education, innovation, and people leadership. A Day in the Life Strategic Leadership Lead the strategic direction and execution of Training & Education across the Surgical portfolio. Develop and implement educational strategies that support business growth, customer engagement, therapy adoption, and commercial excellence. Partner with senior leaders across Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations functions to align capability-building initiatives with organisational priorities. Serve as a key member of the Surgical leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and organisational effectiveness. Training & Education Excellence Oversee the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of customer and employee education programmes. Ensure training content remains clinically relevant, scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with evolving business and customer needs. Drive innovation in learning methodologies, including digital learning solutions, simulation-based training, and new educational technologies. Establish metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, learner engagement, and business impact. Leadership & Organisational Development Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing organisation comprising managers and individual contributors across multiple geographies. Build an inclusive, collaborative, and performance-oriented culture that encourages innovation and continuous learning. Develop succession plans and talent strategies to strengthen organizational capability and ensure leadership continuity. Actively mentor future leaders and create opportunities for professional growth and development. Change Leadership Lead teams through organizational transformation and evolving business structures. Drive adoption of new ways of working and ensure teams remain engaged, resilient, and focused during periods of change. Foster a growth mindset and continuous improvement culture that challenges the status quo and embraces innovation. Manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate ambiguity with confidence and professionalism. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders. Influence senior leaders across the organization to gain alignment and support for strategic initiatives. Represent the Training & Education function with customers, healthcare professionals, and industry partners. Collaborate across business units to ensure education strategies support broader organizational objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 10 years of professional experience within medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or a related industry. Minimum 7 years of people leadership experience, including leadership of leaders and large teams. Demonstrated success managing complex, matrixed
