Responsibilities : As part of MPLX, a midstream company majority owned by MPC, Natural Gas & Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Services interns and co-ops support real projects and routine operations and maintenance, such as:  Project scope development, including estimating, scheduling, design, contractor engagement and construction oversight. DOT-regulated pipeline integrity and maintenance programs. Field work at pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, gas processing plants and related facilities. Interns and co-ops assist company professionals by supporting midstream initiatives across our Natural Gas & NGL Services operations, including: Automation/controls engineering Electrical engineering Process engineering Process optimization engineering Project engineering Operations engineering Reliability engineering Pipeline integrity Corrosion Measurement services Qualifications : Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum/Natural Gas, or Electrical Engineering. Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience. Strong academic performance. Available to work on site 40 hours per week. Valid driver's license for work-related travel. Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work. Will require time spent in the field monitoring and managing activities as required in various areas of our midstream natural gas and light crude facilities. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States with the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. Available for multiple work terms is preferred.
