Intern-Animal Operations Labcorp is seeking an Intern-Animal Operations to join our team at Shanghai, China Internship Details: Duration : 30 weeks, full-time/Onsite Dates of Internship : Oct 2026-Jun 2027 Compensation : Paid internship Eligibility : Final-year students who are expected to graduate in July 2027 are preferred. However, students at all academic levels who are pursuing relevant fields of study are encouraged to apply.
About Team
The Inlife-TOX department provides a range of services for clients including animal housing, observation, bodyweight and vital sign collection and sample collection. Internship Assignment Summary: Maintain good laboratory records according to SOP and GLP. Review data and identify potential problems. Provide and maintain inventory equipment, animals and supplies. Maintain animal Room and equipment compliance with GLP and AAALAC requirements. Learn how to identify, record, and review clinical observations, weight data, food consumption data, environmental data, and other data in appropriate data collection systems (or with manual input if necessary). Learn how to interpret protocol. Learn how to ensure research is conducted in accordance with protocols, SOPs and government regulations. Learn how to perform basic dosing techniques and restraint procedures. Learn to euthanize animals. Identify deviations from expected results and take appropriate action. Report on all animal health issues and participate in resolutions and appropriate corrective action, as necessary. Complete other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
College students or undergraduate students. Need to increase capacity by 50 pounds; Frequent lifting throughout the day; Standing for a long time; Extended hand manipulation, including, but not limited to, grasping. Be able to read, record and communicate observations accurately. Must be able to work with laboratory animals in the laboratory. Medical Certified Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
Veterinarian License CET‑4 (College English Test Band 4). Additional Job Standards: Good organization and multitasking ability. Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills. Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Creative and self-motivated individuals who work collaboratively in a high-performance team environment.
