Job Function: Customer Management Job Sub Function: Customer Service Operations Job Category: Professional All Job Posting Locations: Bogotá, Distrito Capital, Colombia Job Description: DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a LATAM Trade Operations, located in São Paulo, São Paulo and Bogota Colombia. This role is part of a global Trade Operations function that provides operational support to the Global Supply Chain, with a specific focus on LATAM import/export activities, trade compliance, and cross ‑ border execution. The LATAM Trade Operations professional plays a critical role in ensuring compliant, efficient, and timely movement of medical devices across international borders, supporting business continuity, customer service, and regulatory adherence. This role offers exposure to global stakeholders, complex trade environments, and has a meaningful impact on patient access to healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end ‑ to ‑ end operational support for LATAM trade activities, including import, export, and intercompany movements, in alignment with global supply chain requirements. Execute and monitor customs clearance processes, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and global trade regulations and company policies. Partner with Global Trade, Logistics, Planning, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve shipment issues, delays, and compliance risks. Maintain accurate trade documentation, classification data, and records to support audits, reporting, and regulatory inquiries. Support broker and freight forwarder management, including performance monitoring and issue resolution. Identify opportunities to improve trade processes, cycle times, and cost efficiency while maintaining compliance. Contribute to global and regional initiatives related to trade optimization, system enhancements, and process standardization.
Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree required , preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or specialization in Trade, Logistics, or Operations preferred. Experience and Skills Required: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trade operations, import/export, logistics , or supply chain operations within a regulated environment. Working knowledge of LATAM customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade compliance requirements. Experience supporting global or regional supply chain operations with multiple stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast ‑ paced , matrixed environment. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and standard Microsoft Office tools. Preferred: Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries. Exposure to global trade compliance programs, audits, or internal controls. Familiarity with free trade agreements, duty mitigation, or special trade programs in LATAM.
