Position

Summary The Director, C2C4C Rides and Corporate Affairs Strategy & Operations is responsible for leading the integrated strategy, program management (in partnership with the current global program lead), and external/internal communications for one of the company’s most prominent enterprise programs, “C2C4C” (Coast 2 Coast/Country 2 Country/Continent to Continent 4 Cancer), a signature global initiative that plays a critical role in shaping employee engagement, corporate reputation and trust, and showcases the company’s mission in action. In close partnership with the Global C2C4C program lead, this role will collaborate to drive both program execution and integrated storytelling across internal communications, external media, digital and social channels, executive engagement, and live events while helping translate program priorities into coordinated execution. The Director contributes to strategic vision, establishes operating discipline, and is accountable for the program’s visibility, credibility, communications readiness, and impact globally. This role serves as a strategic and program partner to C2C4C program leadership and executive stakeholders, including BMS LT members, as well as advocacy organizations with whom BMS partners. The scope is broad, highly visible, and fast-moving. The role demands strong creative instincts, flawless execution, strong program management, multi-million dollar budget management, governance discipline, and the ability to operate with confidence and independence while collaborating across a matrixed organization. The role reports to the Senior Director, Strategy & Business Operations, Corporate Affairs, with a dotted-line relationship to the Corporate Communications team.

Responsibilities

Program Management & Operational Execution Work in close partnership with the current C2C4C program management lead to translate C2C4C strategic priorities into integrated communications plans, project timelines, deliverables, owners, and execution milestones. Coordinate across Corporate Affairs, market teams, agencies, event partners, rider leads, patient advocacy partners, and business stakeholders to ensure communications planning is fully integrated with broader program planning and execution. Support program governance through clear communications inputs, leadership updates, agenda development, action tracking, issue escalation, and alignment across workstreams. Partner with the Global C2C4C Program lead on multi-million dollar program budget planning, with accountability for communication-related budget planning and vendor/agency coordination for communications-related program activities, ensuring resources are aligned to highest-impact priorities and coordinated with the broader program budget. Development of Global Toolkits Develop and own the global messaging strategy and narrative architecture for C2C4C, including executive positioning, messaging frameworks, FAQs and global communication toolkits to drive consistent storytelling at scale. Ensure materials are audience-centric, globally relevant, and adaptable for local markets. Story Architecture & Content Development Lead the integrated communications strategy across all U.S. and global markets where C2C4C takes place, ensuring storytelling, executive engagement, media, digital, internal communications, and live moments are connected to the program’s strategic priorities.
