Job Description
The Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) Planner/Scheduler (PS) will provide comprehensive planning, scheduling, and workscope integration support to enable the effective disassembly, repair, and assembly of gas‑turbine engines at the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility. This role ensures alignment between customer requirements, production plans, configuration control, and daily shop‑floor execution to meet delivery goals. What You Will Do * Provide daily short‑/long‑term (30/60/90‑day) planning and scheduling of engines and modules, ensuring alignment with production schedules and customer requirements. Load customer engine data into SAP and maintain configuration accuracy. Plan inductions, manage work‑in‑process (WIP) levels, and update all relevant production status boards and communication tools. Monitor gated metrics, identify schedule risks, and communicate impacts to operations, materials, and quality. Request, load, and track customer funding for maintenance activities. Facilitate cross‑functional communication at the shop‑floor level and with partner schedulers to ensure priorities are clearly understood and effectively executed. Work with fleet management, engine managers, configuration management, and customer representatives to validate maintenance levels, modifications, and configuration control. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives; maintain and apply robust standard work and desktop procedures. Attend daily production meetings and ensure schedule requirements are communicated across the public/private partnership. Perform any other related functions or support other MRO production lines as required by management to ensure enterprise success.
Qualifications
You Must Have * Master’s degree, OR Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience/training may be considered. U.S. citizenship required due to program/contract access requirements. Background check required. Must pass a criminal history check and drug screening to receive base access. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work 1st shift (0700–1600) and additional hours (early/late overtime, weekends) as necessary; may be required to respond to inquiries during off‑hours. Demonstrated commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams with limited supervision. Ability to maintain data integrity while using databases or other data systems.
