Shift Hours - Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6AM-6PM What You Will Do: The Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) organization is in search of a Materials Manager responsible for leading our Alternate Work Week materials team. The Materials Manager's responsibilities include executing materials transformation initiatives and driving strategic materials management architecture. It will include the releasing of material, managing handling methods, kitting and material movement following the fundamentals of line back logistics. Success will be measured by developing strategies and executing goals with the business units/departments and objectives to meet capacity requirements, inventory controls, cost reduction objectives, on time delivery, and control tower measures. The Materials Manager will have the opportunity to work directly with CSMC administration, materials, operations and 3PL organizations as well as the internal manufacturing groups to redefine processes, execute on business requirements and deliver to customer expectations. Provide leadership and direction to hourly workforce Serve as the Mod Center focal for weekend deliveries and TVA plan Ensure that CSMC is transforming to meet the customer demands in a complex manufacturing environment with constantly shifting priorities Execute strategies and oversee activities through multiple organizations; communicate to peers and management, the requirements that support processes to ensure smooth production flow. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and other organizations to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded Establish and execute standards and expectations for work effort and performance while providing regular, consistent feedback on performance to those standards Implement Lean manufacturing measures to ensure value streams and shop operations are balanced at all times and/or to be able to identify areas of opportunity quickly Establish system architecture designs that consider customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities Be available for shift overlap Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor's Degree combined and 8 or more years of experience in an manufacturing operations, materials management/materials planning, continuous improvement/process improvement, or related environment or OR a Master’s degree combined with 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management/materials planning, continuous improvement/process improvement, or related environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement principles (e.g. Lean manufacturing, CORE, QCPC) Qualifications We Prefer: Aerospace industry experience Experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity Experience utilizing SAP operating system Solumina
