Summary
The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of professional services projects to implement or optimize Workiva solutions. This role focuses on mastering and executing the Workiva implementation methodology, serving as the primary point of contact for customer engagements to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and contribute directly to customer value. What You’ll Do Portfolio & Project Execution: Efficiently manages a portfolio of 20–25 simultaneous standard-complexity projects with variable timelines (ranging from 4-week to 16-week implementation), balancing competing priorities and maintaining delivery standards Core Delivery Management: Owns and drives the end-to-end execution of project plans for individual medium-to-high size/complexity, Workiva-led engagements Stakeholder Management & Communication: Acts as the primary point of contact for the customer and internal project team, ensuring clear, concise, and timely communication Documentation & Reporting: Manages all project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and budgets Risk & Issue Management: Proactively monitors and mitigates project-level risks and issues, escalating appropriately when necessary Escalation Support: Helps resolve customer escalations, seeking guidance from leadership as required Change Management: Facilitates standard project change requests and manages expectations within the defined project scope Team Collaboration: Shares best practices, lessons learned, and foundational knowledge across the immediate project team or functional group What You’ll Need Minimum Qualifications Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field, along with 4+ years of project management experience Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred (Business level) SaaS industry experience and PMP or similar project management certification are preferred PMP, PRINCE2, or similar advanced project management certification is highly preferred Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated experience independently managing stakeholders and resolving customer escalations Commercial acumen with experience in complex scope, budgets, and multi-party delivery models Strong project management discipline with the ability to independently manage a fast-paced portfolio and full lifecycle of assigned projects Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of key sponsors and stakeholders and resolve conflict at the project level Effectively navigates ambiguity, pivoting between project types, solution areas, and support needs as the company moves towards its strategic vision Demonstrated ability to effectively apply implementation methodologies (e.g., Workiva methodology).
