Job Description

Job Summary: The BUSPH-HSPH CAFE Research Coordinating Center (RCC) was established with unprecedented support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This collaboration between the Boston University School of Public Health and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health aims to build a Community of Practice by managing and supporting research and capacity-building efforts at the intersection of the natural, physical, and health sciences. The Center's Resource Function Team develops and implements programming that promotes collaboration and coordination among researchers, provides educational opportunities, and generates resources to advance the field. The Resource Function Team is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide approximately 20 hours per week of support for program operations and strategic initiatives. Under the direction of Dr. Gaurab Basu, Co-lead, Resource Function, this position will play a key role in coordinating activities that facilitate engagement, communication, and collaborative research efforts across the CAFE network. Job-Specific Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, webinars, workshops, and other program activities Coordinate scheduling, invitations, registration, and follow-up communications for program events Support outreach efforts to researchers, partners, and stakeholders within the health and extreme weather research community Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of educational and collaborative programming Develop and distribute program communications, including newsletters, announcements, website content, and other outreach materials Maintain program records, contact lists, and documentation Support the development and dissemination of resources for the community of practice Contribute to the implementation of strategic goals and priorities of the Resource Function Team Track project activities and assist with reporting and evaluation efforts Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and coordination across the network PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term appointment of April 30, 2027 with the possibility of extension. PLEASE NOTE: This is a part-time benefits-eligible position with a 20 hour work schedule.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 4+ years of relevant experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
