This intermediate-level role defines technical standards, improvement roadmaps, and sustainment plans to ensure stable, safe, and reliable manufacturing execution.

Job description

Provides equipment engineering support and technical ownership for assigned MEMS workcenters, including Barrier, Drill, Attach, Plating, Mandrel, and related MEMS manufacturing processes. Provides engineering ownership for preventive maintenance strategy and effectiveness, including PM scope definition, checklist optimization, technical standards, post-PM performance review, and continuous improvement of PM methods. Accountable for monitoring and improving key equipment performance indicators such as OEE, machine uptime, availability, downtime trend, PM effectiveness, repeat equipment issues, and spare part-related losses. Provides technical leadership for chronic, complex, or recurring equipment issues by driving root cause analysis, defining corrective and preventive actions, improving troubleshooting standards, and preventing recurrence. Leads and owns the long-term tooling sustainability plan for assigned MEMS equipment, including critical tooling, fixtures, modules, controllers, sensors, support systems, and spare parts required to sustain manufacturing continuity. Leads equipment refresh and obsolescence management by identifying aging equipment, end-of-life parts, discontinued components, vendor support risks, retrofit needs, alternative source options, and replacement priorities. Leads assigned equipment-related cost improvement, capital, reliability, and manufacturing continuity initiatives, including MOH, ETS, ROP, and CAPEX projects related to equipment reliability, refresh, replacement, automation, cost reduction, safety improvement, and manufacturing continuity. Coordinates alignment with Operations, Tech Sups, Technical Specialists, Process Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, Facilities, suppliers, and vendors on assigned equipment priorities, technical risk closure, and stable manufacturing execution. Develops and maintains critical spare, tooling, fixture, and consumable readiness strategies to support equipment uptime, PM effectiveness, and timely recovery from equipment issues. Provides technical direction and coaching to Engineering Technicians, Technical Specialists, and shift support teams on equipment troubleshooting, PM standards, escalation handling, and safe work practices. Maintains accurate equipment documentation, PM checklists, troubleshooting guides, one-point lessons, spare part records, engineering change records, and system updates in accordance with internal requirements. Supports equipment safety, compliance, audit readiness, LOTO discipline, interlock verification, risk assessment, and incident prevention activities. Takes technical ownership of assigned equipment performance reviews within MEMS PME and daily management routines by identifying risks, escalating priorities, leading action closure, and supporting cross-functional recovery and improvement plans. Identifies and implements equipment-focused digitization and automation opportunities to improve productivity, reduce recurring losses, strengthen equipment monitoring, and support manufacturing efficiency. Performs other duties and assignments as required by the MEMS Engineering Manager or Department Manager. Requirement / Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
