Job Description

AECOM  is seeking an innovative and proactive Project Controls Director, the candidate will be involved in a number of projects and project teams at the same time, at various stages of the projects’ lifecycle, from inception through close-out, varying in complexity and value. We are working with a top tier Biopharmaceutical client to expand their Houston based campus. The responsibilities of Project Controls Director include, but are not limited to: Prepare monthly financial reports Reviews purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures; maintains tracking database to ensure that funding is aligned with work authorization and expenditures Review and advise on uncommitted balances Evaluate and advise on contingency balances Examine vendor invoices / applications for payment Lead the change control process Project financial close-out Evaluate productivity versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis Compares actual cost to funding limitations; prepares expenditure forecasts to identify critical points in project funding Conducts or assists in performance measurement and associated cost trending / forecasting Participates in and may lead project cost review meetings Assists in procedure development and implementation Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with construction team Qualifications Minimum Requirements BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership Knowledge of construction scheduling using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project Preferred Qualifications Impeccable verbal, written and numeracy skills in a client facing capacity Ability to work under own initiative and unsupervised, but also as part of a team Experience of working in process manufacturing and/or bio-pharmaceutical industries; on-site experience is preferred but not required Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Teams Familiarity with business intelligence / reporting / dashboarding tools such as Power BI / Tableau Additional Information Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position Relocation is not available now or in the future At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
