What You'll Be Doing
As a Call Out Engineer, you'll be responsible for responding to breakdowns and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime and maintain safe operation across the portfolio. Key responsibilities include: Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on escalator equipment Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns, aiming for a first-time fix wherever possible Maintaining the highest standards of safety and technical excellence Working collaboratively with customers and stakeholders on site Building positive working relationships through professional communication and service delivery Supporting the reliable operation of one of the UK's busiest transport networks What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Escalator Engineering Proven experience in escalator maintenance, repair, and fault finding Strong knowledge of a variety of escalator manufacturers and equipment types A full UK driving licence Solid mechanical and electrical engineering skills A proactive and customer-focused approach Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Confidence using digital and electronic tools and systems Flexibility to support operational requirements, including overtime when required Most importantly, you'll be a safety-first professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and exceptional service.
