Title: Maintenance Technician Pay Rate: $30.18 to $35.24 Category/ Location: Eighty-Four Box Facility 10 Wilson Road Eighty-Four, PA We currently have an opening for a 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Technician at our Eight-Four Container Plant in Eighty-Four, PA. This facility manufactures corrugated packaging products for local and national customers. The position requires the candidate to have a strong knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatic, electrical and electronic technologies. The Job You Will Perform: • Practice safe work habits at all times. • Utilize both excellent mechanical skills and knowledge (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearing, power transmission, lubrication) • Must have a basic knowledge of PLCs, A/C, motors and drives, schematics in our continuous process manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime metrics • Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems • Engage in preventative maintenance processes in assigned areas • On-the-job success in safety, attendance and quality of work • Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills • Willingness to fully cross-train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities • Willing and able to work flexible shifts and weekends are required • Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes and work orders • Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines. • Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts. • Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas. • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping. • Additional duties may be assigned by management. The Skills You Will Bring: • Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters. • Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations. • The individual must have a working knowledge of the following: • Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation. • Product layouts and production specifications • Product quality specifications • Quality standards • May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and/or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipment. • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
