About this role

Come design the future of how hundreds of millions of customers discover and purchase digital products on Amazon. The North American Stores Design (NASD) team brings together curious designers who strive to create best in class experiences for millions of customers on the Amazon app. From inception through launch, you will be a design owner, responsible for delivering ambitious concepts and using data to iterate and improve — translating needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions. As the design owner for the Digital Services & Software — a fast-moving space where customers buy digital products, you will solve unique UX challenges around discoverability, and post-purchase CX. You'll work closely with product and engineering to shape roadmaps, define design strategies across multiple programs while delivering end-to-end experiences from early concept through launch. This isn't a "stay in your lane" role. While Digital Software is your home base, you'll flex into high-priority projects across NASD when the business calls for it — from AI-powered shopping experiences to complex customization flows, you'll work across discovery, detail pages, checkout, and post-purchase surfaces. Key job responsibilities • Design the user experience of key, differentiated features for North American Stores categories • Design solutions for complex design and technical problems where product strategy is not fully defined • Create conceptual sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes using AI tools • Collaborate effectively across diverse teams and disciplines to drive alignment and efficiency • Develop and improve design patterns, standards, and processes that scale for your team • Lead brainstorming sessions and present at cross-team reviews to demonstrate features and drive design decisions • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data (metrics, usability studies) to inform product-level customer experience decisions • Work closely with engineering to incorporate capabilities and constraints of the technology stack • Balance short- and long-term design requirements against engineering constraints
