Enterprise Print BDM Description - The Enterprise Print Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue, growth, profitability, and market share across the enterprise print portfolio. The role develops and executes strategic sales and account plans, creates new business opportunities, and builds trusted relationships with enterprise customers, sales teams, channel partners, and external technology vendors. Combining strong sales leadership with deep print category and product expertise, the role translates customer needs and market insights into compelling solutions, improves win rates, and ensures effective execution of portfolio growth strategies.

Responsibilities

Develops and executes strategic business development and account plans for the enterprise print portfolio, aligned with customer priorities and the organisation’s revenue, profitability, and growth objectives. Identifies, qualifies, and advances new business opportunities across enterprise customers and targeted customer segments, maintaining a healthy pipeline and delivering assigned revenue and product-line quotas. Builds strong senior-level relationships with enterprise customers, the sales force, channel partners, and other key stakeholders to understand business challenges, influence decisions, and position differentiated print solutions. Leads engagement with one or more sales teams, providing print portfolio expertise, opportunity strategy, deal support, and clear direction in accordance with organisational policies and procedures. Contributes to defining category business plans and growth strategies for the enterprise print portfolio, including priorities for product lines, customer segments, routes to market, and partner engagement. Demonstrates deep knowledge of enterprise print products, categories, market dynamics, customer use cases, and competitive offerings, acting as a trusted subject-matter expert for customers and internal teams. Anticipates customer needs and collaborates with sales, marketing, finance, services, and other internal and external stakeholders to develop commercially compelling solutions and ensure seamless execution. Holds responsibility for product-line and quota management across a significant share of the enterprise print portfolio or a defined customer segment. Monitors pipeline, key performance indicators, sales performance, margin, and category results; identifies performance gaps and develops data-driven action plans to improve outcomes. Applies disciplined value selling, pricing, and margin management techniques to improve win rates, commercial outcomes, and solution delivery. Gathers and analyses customer feedback, sales data, and market intelligence to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points, translating insights into portfolio, process, and go-to-market improvements. Defines and pursues joint growth opportunities with channel partners and external technology vendors, leveraging the organisation’s broader portfolio and capabilities. Leads partner and vendor engagements relevant to the enterprise print portfolio, establishing productive relationships and aligning joint sales and growth plans. Supports complex commercial negotiations, including pricing discussions, contract renewals, and extensions, while balancing customer value, competitive positioning, and organisational requirements. Identifies and manages risks to opportunities, customer relationships, and portfolio performance, implementing mitigation plans and escalating issues when required. Stays current with print industry trends, technology developments, market shifts, and the competitive landscape, sharing actionable insights and recommendations with customers, sales teams, and business leaders. Provides guidance, coaching, and enablement to sales teams and junior colleagues to strengthen print capability, sales execution, and portfolio knowledge.
