The KAI Competence Center for Automotive and Industrial Electronics was founded in 2006, is a 100% subsidiary of Infineon, and is located in the Villach Technology Park. The focus of our research is the reliability of power semiconductors in automotive and industrial applications. Key responsibilities in your new role Onboarding: Familiarize with image analysis applications, datasets, available software tools, and computer vision methodologies Team Support: Assist the data science team with development, implementation, and evaluation of computer vision and machine learning solutions for automated image analysis Data Preparation: Prepare and annotate image datasets Quality and Visualization: Perform quality assessment and visualize datasets Reporting: Document results, prepare presentations, and communicate findings Further Information: Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.) Duration: 12 months Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Education: Ongoing or completed Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar Motivation: Strong interest in computer vision, machine learning, and image analysis; prior knowledge or practical experience is a plus Teamwork: Communicative and enjoy working collaboratively Programming: Proficient in programming, for example Java and Python Language Skills: Fluent in English or German Additional information This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2026-05-01.pdf ). #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
