The role of the MS Mechanical Maintenance Utility includes but is not limited to, safely perform general housekeeping/shop organization, assist with mechanical maintenance on breakdown repairs, work with mechanical maintenance during down days and outages, perform preventative maintenance, and support the Melt Shop with an emphasis on mechanical equipment and issues in a demanding work environment. The purpose of this position is to provide an opportunity to train, learn and gain experience with the intention of becoming a mechanical technician. Must have the ability to work rotating shifts and scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, holidays and weekends.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED Experience in an industrial setting or a similar career field Mechanical Maintenance and troubleshooting experience Preferred Qualifications:
