POD Tech Lead

Are you a technology professional with experience building and supporting scalable applications and backend services? Deloitte is seeking a Technical Lead to help drive the design, development, and maintenance of web applications, application programming interfaces, and cloud-based solutions using Node.js and related technologies. You will also help strengthen engineering delivery through architecture oversight, code quality practices, and continuous improvement across tools, frameworks, and cloud capabilities. Work you'll do As a Lead Managed Services Engineer II (Technical Lead) on the AI & Engineering team, you will be responsible for: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of web applications and backend services using Node.js and supporting technologies Develop and support front-end and back-end components to meet business, user, and technical requirements Oversee application programming interface development, system integrations, and cloud-based deployments across the delivery lifecycle Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and issue resolution to support application performance and code quality Collaborate with designers, developers, and business stakeholders on architecture, delivery planning, and continuous improvement initiatives A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team Effective written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product Ability to build and sustain professional relationships Ability to lead projects or workstreams Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Ability to meet deadlines Ability to provide clear guidance to others The team AI & Engineering leverages cutting-edge engineering capabilities to build, deploy, and operate integrated and verticalized sector solutions across software, data, artificial intelligence, network, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience 9+ years of experience developing applications using Node.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript 3+ years of experience designing and integrating REST application programming interfaces and microservices 3+ years of experience deploying and supporting applications in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. Preferred: Experience leading application development workstreams or small engineering teams Experience supporting managed services or application support environments Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
