The IC Lead I at Jabil Inc. is responsible for coordinating and overseeing inventory control activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to established procedures within the manufacturing or warehouse environment. This role involves guiding a team of inventory control specialists and contributing to the optimization of material flow.

Lead and supervise a small team of Inventory Control Specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, reconciling discrepancies and investigating root causes of variances. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices. Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or excesses, and collaborate with planning and production teams to address issues. Utilize inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) to track material movement, generate reports, and analyze data. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and optimize storage utilization. Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, engineering changes, and production schedules. Ensure the proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials to prevent damage, obsolescence, and loss. Generate and analyze inventory reports to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement. Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. 2-4 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or materials management, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices (e.g., cycle counting, FIFO, LIFO). Proficiency in using inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred. Physical ability to lift and move materials as required.
