The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services. Who you will work with BCN Private Equity Group CoE at Bain & Company provides specialized support to global teams across the private equity value chain, enabling clients to make key investment decisions. Our expertise lies in addressing critical diligence questions through a range of products such as survey analytics, digital diagnostic, workforce analytics and disruption assessment. Our teams work in a fast-paced environment delivering consistent and impactful results at scale. In the last decade, we have witnessed an exponential growth, reaching >250 members today from ~10 members in 2013. We operate from 3 locations – 2 in India and 1 in Poland, and operate across all 3 regions (EMEA, Americas and APAC). BCN PEG provides an opportunity to solve challenging business problems in a dynamic set-up working closely with global Bain teams, acting as a thought-partner with daily deliverables. What you’ll do As the Engineering Lead for the Survey CoE portfolio, you will own end-to-end engineering across the full Survey product suite — accountable for technology direction, quality, speed, reliability, security, and scalability across all products. Own full-stack architecture and engineering outcomes across the Survey product suite, driving convergence toward common infrastructure, shared components, and consistent engineering practices Set technical direction for the portfolio and work closely with individual product engineering leads — providing direction, reviewing architecture decisions, and resolving cross-product dependencies Drive shared platform capabilities across products — authentication, hosting, CI/CD, observability, security scanning, API standards, shared data layers and cross-product integrations Own security and data governance posture across the portfolio — access control, data sharing, compliance, and responsible AI use Stay hands-on in critical areas — shared components, APIs, production data and ML pipelines, asynchronous processing, and performance-sensitive infrastructure Shape the AI/LLM architecture across Survey products — RAG, semantic search, copilots, agents, LLMOps, evaluation and monitoring Translate product and business needs into technical roadmaps, proactively surfacing risks and trade-offs to stakeholders Build engineering capability across teams — mentoring leads and developers, conducting code and architecture reviews, supporting technical hiring About you Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field 8+ years of professional software engineering experience on web/cloud applications with demonstrated growth into platform or architecture-level scope 4+ years in a Staff/Principal Engineer, Architect, or platform-lead role — setting technical direction across multiple teams or products Formal people
