 Job Description JG3 PCP Level- NA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for leading associates in an engaged manner to achieve desired results in an assigned manufacturing area. Directly supervise day-to-day activities of area by coaching associates on a continuous improvement path in their daily manufacturing activities and efforts. Coach associates to be accountable for safety, quality, production, cost, housekeeping and overall policy adherence. Ensure that safety and quality standards are achieved while driving production performance to meet goals and schedules. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Promptly address any safety issues or incidents. Spend a minimum of 50% of time on production floor working with associates. Responsible for staffing and training plans within the department. Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates. Provide a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher expectations. Ensure an open flow of communication exists between production associates and management. Represent concerns of production associates to management, as well as management concerns to production associates. Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practices. Works with associates to resolve employee relations issues and concerns; involves HR when needed. Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with Production Planning to establish production schedules, monitor performance versus schedule for the department. Track production metrics to ensure that department goals are being met. Communicates these metrics and progress to associates and management. Supervise daily production operations. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business. DELIVERABLES Ensure manufactured products meet the established quality requirements. Meet or exceed operational objectives (i.e. safety, quality, production, cost, etc.). Effectively supervise and develop others to aid in building a high performing production team. Shift: 6pm - 6 am, to include every other weekend. SUPERVISION This position supervises: Large Team (~ >20) QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education: Required: HSD/GED Preferred: Associates degree – Business, industrial management or related field BA/BS – Business, Applied Science, Ind u strial Management, engineering or human resources In lieu of associates degree, 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required Mini mum Experience: 3 years People Leading experience preferred 3 years manufacturing experience preferred Minimum Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities (KSA’s): Basic: Safety & Ergonomics Expertise Financial Acumen Proficient: Communication skills Leadership skills Decision making skills People development abilities Organizational skills Advanced: Ability to work as part of a team / Teambuilding Trouble shooting / Problem solving Why Join Us?
