The Tactical, Communications, and Maintenance Applications (TCMA) team based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa has new opportunities for individuals who want to grow their technical expertise on complex programs and be a part of an innovative and fast-paced avionics business area. Teams are composed of cross-functional engineers working in an AGILE environment focused on the design and development of software-only products. Our team focuses on creating avionics solutions for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, including the integration of various radios and surveillance equipment for domestic and international military customers. We are looking for an Summer Intern engineer, disciplined in Software Engineering to join our TCMA team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing Agile software engineering processes and activities. Design, implement, and evaluate software in C++, Python within the Agile framework Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with other engineers in the planning, design, development of military technology Work closely with cross-functional research teams to evaluate the effectiveness of early software prototypes Independently perform multiple tasks given support from a mentor Implement requirements, detailed design, implementing software, integration, and verification in accordance with software development processes. Accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions Enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment.

You Must Have:   Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session. Familiarity with design and development using languages such as C, C++, Java, Ada and Python.
