THE WORK Sikorsky a Lockheed Martin Company is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial and military missions. Currently we are seeking Machine Shop Supervisor to lead a group of experienced hourly technicians in the Dynamic Components. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety in accordance to all safety rules, sustaining production costs, manage scheduling and ensuring quality performance in support of business unit goals and objectives. Typlical responsibilites include but are not limited to, Responsible for team’s productivity while adhering to safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements Review and investigate COPQ and Discrepancy Reports assigned by manufacturing and/or quality for various issues Manage and approve employee(s) timekeeping in SAP system Ensure shift turnovers are actioned and communicated thoroughly too all applicable team / support employees Participate in other business meetings throughout the day Ensure follow-through on all policies and procedures and work closely with all employees of the Production team Prepare work schedules, including managing overtime and time-off requests within SAP system Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring standard work and environment, health and safety (EH&S) requirements are met Promote an ethics-based business culture in the organization Manage direct and indirect budget WHO YOU ARE You are a self-motivated leader with strong interpersonal skills and experience leading union represented employees within a dynamic production environment. Your technical expertise and organizational skills enable you to efficiently manage complex assembly operations while maintaining a focus on quality and safety. Learn more about Lockheed Martin’s comprehensive benefits package Basic Qualifications Must be self-motivated, able to function autonomously, well organized, detail oriented and efficient under pressure Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, team building and problem solving skills Solid technical and customer interface skills required Knowledge of government and company flight procedures a plus Must be a US Person Desired Skills Demonstrated full spectrum leadership skills Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities, and provide direction in a dynamic business environment Strong communication skills Possess ability to respond quickly to shifting priorities and emergency situations that could impact flow of parts. Knowledge of Sikorsky processes and procedures related to aircraft production Knowledge of CNC machining Experience working wiht a collective bargaining agreement Hangar and flight operations experience a plus BA/BS degree w/4–7+ years’ experience and/or equivalent experience Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00
