Team / division overview The Passive Portfolio Management Team at DWS manages the full range of X-trackers across Equity and Fixed Income Exchange Traded Funds, as well as Segregated mandates, covering a wide range or index providers and array of benchmark types from multiple ESG flavours to Thematics.  DWS has a global and integrated investment platform with a strong footprint globally. With presence on the ground in 17 locations, we cover the most important financial markets in the world. Our investment platform employs approximately 900 investment professionals (excluding product specialists), covering both the most important financial markets and regions, and the most important asset classes. You will play a key role as Portfolio Engineer within the team.

Details: As a Portfolio Engineer you will (be): Carrying out daily management of the Fixed Income ETFs and index portfolios via portfolio construction and trade implementation Supporting the management of client flows efficiently, negotiating inkind baskets with APs. Managing investment and risk exposures, while determining optimal hedging strategies where applicable Determining optimal portfolio strategy to minimize tracking error to index, to ensure trading accuracy across corporate actions and cash flows Working closely with trading desks to determine optimal execution strategies Contributing to new and existing product development and process enhancement Working with the team to enhance the platform with a focus on performance and automation Overseeing the Net Asset Value, Portfolio Composition File reconciliations and performance attribution analysis We are looking for:  Sound financial markets knowledge with exposure to Index, Synthetic or Delta-one derivative instruments preferred, but broader experience across Fixed Income, FX, Rates, will be considered Sound experience from either a Portfolio Management, Structuring, Trading, Index Research background, with knowledge around portfolio construction, performance & attribution, and related ETF servicing Knowledge of index methodologies from key providers including FTSE, Bloomberg, Iboxx, JPM etc Strong Quantitative Programming skills including Python are essential, additional languages such as VBA would be beneficial Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications and capability using Bloomberg, Aladdin and optimisation systems like Barra BPM, Bloomberg Portfolio Management Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience What we’ll offer you: At DWS we’re serious about diversity, equity and creating an inclusive culture
