About this role

Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

Kyndryl is seeking an experienced and collaborative tax accounting professional to join our Global Tax Operations team. This role plays a key leadership position in the preparation and oversight of Kyndryl's global income tax provision under ASC 740, supporting quarterly and year-end reporting for a Fortune 500 multinational company. The Associate Director will partner closely with regional tax managers, outsourced service providers, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and External Reporting teams to ensure the accurate reporting of income taxes across more than 60 jurisdictions. In addition to leading key aspects of the global tax accounting process, this role provides exposure to complex international tax matters, financial reporting, forecasting, tax planning initiatives, and interactions with external auditors and senior finance leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and intellectually curious tax professional seeking broad global exposure, meaningful ownership, and the ability to make a direct impact within a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead key aspects of Kyndryl's quarterly and annual global income tax provision process under ASC 740, including consolidation of worldwide tax results and preparation of supporting analyses. Partner closely with regional tax managers to ensure the accurate reporting of non-US tax positions, including current and deferred tax accounts, uncertain tax positions, and other jurisdiction-specific matters. Review and challenge tax provision calculations, supporting workpapers, and deliverables prepared by outsourced service providers to ensure technical accuracy and consistency. Prepare and review tax account reconciliations, ensuring appropriate documentation, support, and compliance with internal control requirements. Assist in the determination and analysis of the quarterly and annual effective tax rate, including identification and communication of significant drivers and trends. Support the analysis and review of cash tax forecasts and related reconciliations. Prepare and review ASC 740 disclosures included in Forms 10-Q, 10-K, earnings materials, and other external reporting requirements. Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and External Reporting teams to assess the tax implications of business transactions, accounting developments, tax law changes, and strategic initiatives. Support the accounting and reporting for complex tax matters, including valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, transfer pricing, restructuring activities, and acquisitions or divestitures, as applicable. Manage the recording and delivery of tax-related journal entries to ensure proper presentation within the company's financial statements. Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests, technical discussions, and review procedures throughout the reporting cycle. Build strong relationships across Kyndryl's global tax organization and serve as a trusted partner to regional teams and key finance stakeholders. Why Join Kyndryl Tax? This role offers a unique opportunity to work across a truly global tax footprint while gaining broad exposure to tax accounting, international operations, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic tax initiatives. You will join a collaborative and supportive team that encourages development, learning, and ownership, while working directly with experienced tax leaders and finance professionals across the organization. Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired
