Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas. We are experiencing growth and looking for a Infrared Sensor Systems Testing and Integration Engineer.

As an Infrared Sensor Integration and Test Engineer you will design, build, and execute test campaigns that validate sensor performance, integrate hardware and software, and support production readiness. You’ll work closely with cross functional teams—including hardware, software, and program leads—to turn requirements into tested, flight qualified hardware. Your responsibilities will include: • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, procedures, and schedules for infrared sensor hardware. • Set up and operate laboratory equipment such as function generators, power supplies, temperature controllers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers. • Build, modify, and integrate sensor prototypes, including firmware and software drivers. • Execute functional, environmental, and performance tests; capture, analyze, and interpret data. • Automate test sequences and data processing using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, SQL, Java, or HTML. • Generate clear test reports, traceability matrices, and recommendations for design improvements. • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. • Support production units by qualifying new builds, updating test documentation, and providing technical guidance to manufacturing. • Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and suppliers to ensure test activities align with schedule and cost objectives. • Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.  Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field with 3+ years of professional experience; or a related Master’s degree with 1+ years of professional experience; or a PhD in a related field; or an equivalent combination of professional experience and demonstrated technical competency in lieu of a degree. • Experience coding in a scripting language to include any of the following: MATLAB, C, C++, SQL, Java, HTML, or Python • Experience in working in a laboratory setting, testing hardware and electronics • Ability to read electrical schematics and experience in probing electronics and/or circuit cards • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance Desired Skills 
 • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance • Experience operating and testing any variety of photo-detector/sensor (Infrared, Visible, UV,
