Fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube’s Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators around the world to create, and express themselves. Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world. As a part of the team, you will be responsible for handling legal and regulatory escalations and for ensuring the implementation of compliance processes for emerging content regulations. In this role, you will be on the front line of compliance capability development and implementation as this is a rapidly evolving space: new and emerging regulations in the online content space are increasingly common. You will be responsible for ensuring that our policies are enforced effectively end-to-end, including from the point of identification of possible violation, to removal and appeals. You will work with cross-functional teams to provide YouTube’s response to emerging escalations. You will review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines. Own, manage, and resolve policy escalations from legal and regulatory teams, driving alignment with Trust and Safety and Legal leads. Enforce YouTube's Community Guidelines, including coordinating timing, internal alignment, and internal and external communications. Work closely with Legal to address sensitive/challenging policy escalations, including investigations related to trends. Operationalize new regulations for YouTube Trust and Safety, and manage, maintain, and improve those compliance operations. Drive operational improvements, including working with Product, Operations, and Engineering on technical solutions and demonstrate excellence in operations management, ensuring all escalations are triaged, tracked, investigated, resolved, and communicated accurately using internal tools and systems.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields. Preferred qualifications: Experience in building dashboards, data collection/transformation, data visualization or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
