Position Summary
The Receiver is responsible for the effective management and assistance of venue distribution/warehouse operations, including inventory, receiving, purchasing, ordering, purchase order tracking, clean-up, transfers, and equipment maintenance. This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule, which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction, strong management, and independent decision-making skills are required. This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until December 4, 2026.
Responsibilities
Assist in product purchasing/ordering & be responsible for receiving and distribution control for the venue. Assist in ensuring established procedures for tracking purchase orders, requisitions, receiving dockets, and perpetual inventory are maintained; report any deviation to General Manager. Maintain and handle the sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas. Willing and available to assist with Catering or Concessions event operations as directed by OVG management. Responsible for ensuring that the purchase order system is adhered to for all orders received at each warehouse; verifying the proper specification, size, quantity, etc. of goods received; and confirming the proper labeling, dating, and stocking of supplies. Ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each event; rotate and maintain the integrity of products. Ensure a proper transfer process of products between buildings, including follow-up documentation. Conduct a walk-through of the commissary, warehouse, and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean. Communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner that fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all existing concessions locations: geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.
Qualifications
1-2 years of previous experience working as a warehouse receiver. High school diploma or GED preferred. Strong working knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft Office, POS systems, and timekeeping systems. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. Possess a valid Food Handler's certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by
