Job Title: Data Analyst – LFI, Data Governance Location: CityScape What you'll do: As a Data Analyst – LFI, you’ll be part of a team within Business Data Governance to prepare for Large Financial Institution (LFI) status, responsible for supporting the organization by gathering, analyzing, and reporting on key business data. You’ll become a SME in Reg YY after spending significant time learning Reg YY and other related reporting regulations (i.e., FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15, etc.). You’ll also collaborate with a team dedicated to developing, testing, and executing data for LFI readiness. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for working with data. Development of business requirements is specifically required to support LFI readiness as required by FRB regulations for a Category IV institution. Provide input into Technology’s deliverables to ensure the Technology’s implementation success. Perform UAT test (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure accuracy and integrity of data. Manage and participate in workshops to flesh out and problem-solve certain requirements, defects, or questions. Understand the Federal Reserve’s FR 2052a, FR Y-14, and FR Y-15 rules and to reflect changes in the business requirements documents. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reports delivered to internal stakeholders. Regularly update and optimize existing reporting processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and relevance if needed. Perform analysis on datasets to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data validation and regular quality checks. Partner with teams across the business gather data requirements and understand their analytical needs. Ability to use SQL tool for querying and analyzing data Maintain documentation of data sourcing processes and methodologies. Develop data visualizations to communicate key metrics and insights effectively.
What you'll need
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or another related field. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, or a similar role. 2 year experience working with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and be proficient in handling and interpreting large datasets. Experience with project management and managing multiple priorities and deliverables. Demonstrate a willingness to learning applicable regulatory regulations with significant effort learning Reg YY (e.g. FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15) Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services. Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Intermediate to advanced written and verbal communication skills.
