About this role
A healthcare software product manager owns the end-to-end lifecycle management of clinical applications, guiding products from initial procurement through deployment, routine upgrades, and ultimate decommissioning and replacement. They drive the standardization of both the product line and application configurations across the organization to optimize workflows, mitigate clinical risk, and control operational costs. Responsible for securing sustainable funding and managing application budgets, they also cultivate strategic vendor relationships to align product roadmaps with the organization's long-term clinical goals. Ultimately, they serve as the central point of contact, bridging communication between clinical business units, Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), and vendors to ensure efficient, safe, compliant, and highly available systems.
Job Summary
This technical/functional leader role is primarily responsible for defining product strategy, vision, and product roadmaps from ideation to launch for complex products, and making decisions on new products or enhancements to bring to market. This includes leading the development of product enhancements based on validated learnings, serving as a lead facilitator and consultant for product teams and diverse stakeholder groups across the organization, and partnering with operations teams and market stakeholders to support product adoption. This role is also responsible for leading internal and external discovery for new and existing products, identifying best in class marketplace innovation, driving prototyping and validation with end users, ensuring learnings are funneled to product roadmaps, overseeing efforts to track outcomes and key performance indicators, and leading and overseeing product team members to solve user problems on complex issues.
